Course overview
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the first full-level scuba certification designed for anyone who wants to explore the underwater world safely and confidently. This internationally recognized program provides a complete introduction to scuba diving through a structured combination of theory, practical skills, and real open-water experience. During the course, you will start with engaging knowledge development sessions, where you’ll learn how diving works, how to plan safe dives, and how to prevent and handle potential problems. These lessons build the foundation for confident and responsible diving. Next, you’ll move to the confined-water sessions, where you practice essential scuba skills in a controlled environment. Under the guidance of a certified PADI Instructor, you’ll master buoyancy control, mask clearing, regulator recovery, underwater communication, equipment use, and other fundamental techniques. The final stage of the course includes four open-water dives, giving you the chance to apply your skills in real ocean conditions. You’ll explore the underwater world, develop strong dive habits, and gain experience navigating, managing buoyancy, and diving with a buddy. Upon successful completion, you will earn the PADI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters anywhere in the world. This certification never expires and is your gateway to advanced courses, marine exploration, and unforgettable underwater adventures.
